American moviegoers switched off The Switch , and preferred vampires, killer piranhas, Sylvester Stallone, Julia Roberts, pretty much anything but a romantic comedy.
In its debut weekend, Jennifer Aniston's over-promoted comedy landed at eighth place, grossing just $8.1 million domestically.
The Switch was out by by newcomers such as the Twilight spoof, Vampires Suck, Bow Wow's The Lottery Ticket, and Piranha 3D. Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables kept the crown it wore last week with $16.5 million, with Julia Roberts' Eat, Pray, Love landing at #4 in its second week.
