The newest installment in Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean series, On Stranger Tides, opened this weekend to some outstanding numbers. In the domestic market, it grossed over $90 million dollars, putting it at the #1 domestic opening of the year so far, but also putting at the 2nd least grossing Pirates film to date. In comparison, 2006's Dead Man's Chest opened to $135.6 million, and 2007's At World's End opened to $114.7 million.

While it do good in the U.S., it did amazing in the international markets, grossing $256.3 million, the largest international opening ever. All in all, it has made $346.4 million in just three days, which is more than half of the first film's overall performance, and about a third of the past two movies (Dead Man's Chest is also the fourth highest grossing movie of all-time, which is a good sign for Tides).

Here's how the rest of the box-office went down this weekend:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - $90.1 mil
2. Bridesmaids - $21.1 mil
3. Thor - $15.5 mil
4. Fast Five - $10.6 mil
5. Rio - $4.7 mil
6. Priest - $4.6 mil
