I am trying to brainstorm topics for an article I'm planning to submit to a local news website. The stories this website publishes are strictly local; nothing global, national, or even statewide. I'm looking for a fairly narrow topic, but I'm not quite sure what I want to write about. If you picked up a newspaper, what kind of article would most catch your eye?

DId anyone watch the tribute to the Tucson. AZ victims families?
It was very moving. I was deeply moved that little 9-year old Christine was born on 9-11-01. She was one of 50 babies born that day. President Obama read a line from a book featuring these special babies, "May you jump in rain puddles." Obama said he hoped Christine was jumping in rain puddles in Heaven. May the victims rest in peace. May the injured be healed. And may there be peace and comfort for all the hurting families and our Nation!

Topic on Greece, Africa. or the Middle East?
for english class we're supposed to write a research paper relating recent news from these places, & relate them to my generation. the event has to be recent, within a couple months. i never got a topic in class & now i'm so stuck.

Why didn't he speak up sooner and save UK from financial crisis?
A top-flight banking professional who knows the financial world inside out has effectively demolished the insane policies adopted by the UK and other nations in dealing with the banking crisis.

If he had spoken up earlier, we would not be embarking on ruinous tax rises, job losses, printing money and run-away inflation.
