SEVILLE - The city councils of the towns hardest hit by the Seville rainstorm that hit the province during the month of December 2010 - Ecija, Lora del Rio and bacon - were quantified in total nearly 30 million damage in homes and public infrastructure caused as waterlogging. The town most affected by the floods was Ecija, whose mayor, Juan Wic (PSOE), and told Europa Press that the five major floods in December caused damage worth around 23.5 million euros, with an endpoint involving both the damages in agriculture and rural roads and damages to businesses, infrastructure and individuals.

The sources, who have stated that the losses were practically similar to those suffered in the floods of February 2010, have pointed out that already are in the process public and private aid for residents of affected environments - mainly Castle Avenue into several tranches, Coronation Square, Pope Leo XIII Avenue, Alameda del Rio and Residential Our Lady of Setefilla -.

Finally, in regard to Bacon, the local mayor, Juan de Dios Muñoz (PSOE), explained to Europa Press that the damage assessment is about 90,000 euros in all homes and some 100,000 euros with regard to infrastructure. Also aid are being processed.

The City Council in this regard, he moved to the Andalusian three proposals to avoid the effects of flooding in the town after the town has undergone several waterlogging as a result of rainstorm to hit the province late 2010. Specifically, the Consistory proposed to replace the manifold that connects Los Rosales and bacon, the construction of a spillway and the exchange of the homes affected by flooding.
