The trial in which the reggaeton Wisin y Yandel are accused of plagiarising a song by Panamanian singer Nando Boom was not performed as planned because the Puerto Rican duo has not been notified.
A criminal court handling the case said that in the coming days publish in local print media "a 'notices to' to notify the Puerto Rican singers and producers," the Supreme Court in a note sent to the AP .
He added that since the publication of the notice in the newspapers will announce the new date for trial.
The opening of criminal proceedings was ordered six months ago against Juan Luis Morera Luna (Wisin) and Llandel Veguilla Malave (Yandel), as well as two music producers for the alleged crime of violation of copyright at the expense of the Panamanian artist Fernando Orlando Brown, known as Nando Boom.
After a preliminary hearing involving lawyers for the Puerto Rican artists, the judge said Rolando Quezada Vallespi April in a resolution that "the offense investigated is fully accredited," and ordered to be notified about opening the process to Puerto Rican reggaeton.
Nando Boom began the legal process in April 2008 from Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel and others, including publishing companies for allegedly unauthorized use of his song "Love Sick" on "My Space".
The Panamanian singer decided to withdraw the lawsuit against Don Omar to reach a settlement with the singer of hits like "Pobre Diabla" and "Angelito flies", but maintained the charges against the duo Wisin & Yandel.
