How Much Money Does Selena Gomez Make? (And How Much Did Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus Make?)
0 comments Posted by pok at 11:14 AMMany people assume that teen stars make a ton of money per episode, but that really isn't true. Miley Cyrus only made $15,000 per episode for her run on Hannah Montana. Before she left the series, Demi Lovato made even less at $12,000 per episode on Sonny With A Chance. Selena Gomez makes the most money on Disney Channel at $25,000 an episode for Wizards of Waverly Place, which is now in it's final season.
Miley made so little compared to everyone else because she makes $75,000 per single concert she performs, made a ton on Hannah Montana: The Movie, and also makes quite a bit on Hannah Montana merchandise. I can't quite figure out why Demi made so little, but it was probably because her series didn't quite grab the ratings that Miley and Selena's did. Selena still makes a little bit less than Miley did because she didn't make as much for Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie, makes as much on merchandise, or get so much for a concert.
In comparison, Nick's biggest star, Miranda Cosgrove, makes $180,000 per episode of iCarly, but Keke Palmer only made $20,000 per episode of True Jackson VP, and Victoria Justice only made $12,000 per episode for the first season VicTORious, though that is sure to change now that her series has great ratings and it is putting out a lot of merchandise.
What do you think? Are they payed too little, too much? Tell us in the comments!

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Demi Lovato discussed some of her future career moves, which unfortunately includes quitting her hit TV series Sonny With A Chance! As we have already reported, the show will be renamed So Random! and be more of a sketch show than a sitcom. Here's what Demi had to say on the topic:
"It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music. It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on. I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery. Being in front of a camera would make me nervous."
And here's what a Disney Channel rep had to say about the issue:
"We respect Demi’s decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career. She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity."While we are very sad to see Demi go, we're glad that she is making what she believes to be the best decision for her.

According to many reliable sources, hit Disney actress Demi Lovato is planning to make her return to TV as a judge on the US version of The X Factor with Simon Cowell! Cowell has already stated that he will be picking judges by not only their judging abilities, but also people he knows he can get along and be friends with. How well would an 18 year old and a 51 year old get along? We'll have to wait and find out!
What do you think? We were already planning on watching the show, so we think it'd be awesome!

According to numerous reports, Demi Lovato has left her treatment center for good, and is currently in L.A. with her family. Demi is supposedly planning out the next few weeks to spend with family and friends instead of immediately going back to work on Sonny With A Chance. And while she is out of the treatment center, she'll still be getting help while in California for a while.
We are so glad that Demi's out of the treatment center and ready to be able to start fresh! What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments!

According to Disney Channel's official Twitter account, @DisneyRatings, Disney is hoping that Demi Lovato will be able to film Sonny With A Chance as soon as she is out of rehab next month. Right now, Disney's plan is to start out by making So Random! sketches for the show, which Demi doesn't need to be in. However, next month they plan on shooting full episodes that require Demi, so they will post-poned if she is not out of the treatment facility.
Are you as skeptical as we are about Demi going right back to work as soon as she gets home? Tell us in the comments.

This morning on the set of Skating WIth The Stars, Sonny With A Chance star Brandon Mychal Smith (Nico) was hospitalzied after having breathing problems on set. Brandon reportedly turned up at practice for tonight not feeling well. After complaining of shortness of breath, around 11:45 a.m. (pacific time), producers decided to dial 911.
"[Brandon] was taken by ambulance to the hospital. We are waiting to hear an update, a rep for Brandon told E! News. "We are not sure if he will be skating tonight."
Also, fellow skater Brooke Castille got her sliced her finger open a few hours later while practicing with her partner Jonny Mosely. Please keep the Smith and Castille family in your prayers.

Disney Orders Third Season, and Major Changes to 'Sonny With A Chance'
0 comments Posted by pok at 5:22 AMDisney Channel has announced a a third season, and complete overhaul for their hit TV show, Sonny With A Chance, while Demi Lovato is in rehab, unable to shoot. Disney is now asking writers to focus on the show-within-a-show, 'So Random!' while Demi is recovering in her treatment center, since sketches will not require Demi. This will allow the show to resume shooting in January, as planned, even if Demi isn't available. A Disney rep said:
"This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure. Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues."
Sonny With A Chance has already filmed two full episodes of 'So Random!' as standalone specials, the first one doing well in ratings and the second will air on November 28.

With all of the Demi Lovato drama, we're starting to think that Disney will cancel it's popular TV show, "Sonny With A Chance", or Demi will quit. Disney has voiced concern about Demi's conditions, and it is quite possible for them to cancel her show for her health. Since we don't know the contract situation, we're not sure if she is legally obligated to film more episodes, even a third season. And, while it would be the right thing to do to cancel the show, Disney has often done whatever it takes to get more money out of something.
For example, Miley Cyrus really didn't want to do a fourth season of Hannah Montana, but Disney forced her to, since the show has made the Walt Disney Company over one billion dollars in revenue.
Do you think Disney will cancel 'Sonny'? And if they don't, should Demi quit? Tell us in the comments!
