@DisneyRatings, Disney Channel's official ratings Twitter account, has just announced that Demi Lovato's third R&B album, which was originally planned for release in March, has been put on hold until further notice as a result of Demi's recent violent actions, rehab check-in, lawsuit, and photo scandal.

When asked about the album on Twitter, @DisneyRatings replied:
"We have contacted Hollywood Record's publicist, and (a) release date has not been set yet. The album is put on hold."
What do you think about this? We were personally really looking forward to Demi's new album, but according to many rumors floating around, Demi may be fired from Hollywood Records and Disney Channel before she's out of rehab!

It's official, one of Hollywood's hottest couples for the past three years has split, says an insider to Us Magazine. "It was mutual," the source explains. "They have been together for so long. It just ran its course." The source also insists that "They are still talking and still friends. There's no drama. No one cheated. They just grew up."
Vanessa and Zac met in 2005 while filming the first High School Musical movie, and started dating two years later. So, what do you think of the split? We think it is very sad, and now we know that the rumors of them hosting X Factor are not true.

According to Life & Style magazine, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are... DATING!  (Even though they have denied this rumor in several, SEVERAL interviews.) Also  according to the magazine, the couple have been going out on many dates and their relationship is now starting to get more serious. Selena is also supposedly starting to tell all of her friends how much she likes Justin!
Here's what a source for the magazine said:
"Selena's been gushing about Justin more with friends. And he’s had a crush on her forever. It’s definitely on!"

Julina? Sustin? Justena? Some of these names could be on the front of magazines everywhere in just a few short weeks! What do you think?

Chelsea Staub, or now Kane, is done with JONAS L.A., making it a great time to get away from the "Disney image" with a name change. Chelsea's full name is Chelsea Kane Staub, and by her family and friends, she is called Chelsea Kane, no Staub. So, she's changing her name officially Chelsea Kane.

Do you like the new name, or are you like us and don't think it matters, as long as she's the same Chelsea!

This morning on the set of Skating WIth The Stars, Sonny With A Chance star Brandon Mychal Smith (Nico) was hospitalzied after having breathing problems on set. Brandon reportedly turned up at practice for tonight not feeling well. After complaining of shortness of breath, around 11:45 a.m. (pacific time), producers decided to dial 911.

"[Brandon] was taken by ambulance to the hospital. We are waiting to hear an update, a rep for Brandon told E! News. "We are not sure if he will be skating tonight."

Also, fellow skater Brooke Castille got her sliced her finger open a few hours later while practicing with her partner Jonny Mosely. Please keep the Smith and Castille family in your prayers.

Rumor has it that Simon Cowell has decided that the US version of his hit UK show, The X Factor, should be judged by one person from the UK (not including himself) and two people from the US. According to these rumors,  Cowell wants Cheryl Cole to be the UK judge and has high hopes in making celebrity couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as the American judges.
Here’s what a source said about the couple:
"They are two of the biggest stars in the States and will make the American X Factor the biggest show in the world. They are more popular than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with under-30s in America. They’re in huge demand and would have to turn down a lot of work in order to do this."
We really like American Idol, and are planning on watching the US version of The X Factor when it premieres next fall, so we'd love it if Zanessa judged it with Simon!

We've heard a lot of rumors about a possible Phineas and Ferb movie that would be aired on Disney Channel next year, and now we have proof! The following clip was attached to the DVD for Disney's latest release, The Sorcerer's Apprentice:

It looks like fun! We'll be sure to watch it next summer on Disney Channel or Disney XD. What about you? Tell us in the comments!

Disney has just announced their earning estimates for their new animated princess comedy, Tangled. Compared to the other studios' estimates, Tangled has earned the most money this weekend! Disney has just announced it's plans to not only make two more sequels to it's hugely popular film series Pirates of Caribbean, but they will be shooting them back-to-back. They had planned on doing this for the up-and-coming fourth, along with the fifth film, but the plans fell through when the film lost it's director.

Shooting films back-to-back is much cheaper, and a guaranteed way to keep cast members, but there is the risk of the first film doing bad at the box-office, and then being stuck with a sequel that is sure to fail. We're really glad that they're making two more movies, but we hope that the first film doesn't bomb so we can see the second one.

Tangled, Disney's 50th animated movie to date, was expected to gross $50 million dollars at the box-office this weekend. Crazy, right? How could a Disney princess movie gross anything over $20 million? Well that's where you're wrong - twice. First, Tangled isn't necessarily a princess movie. Now yes, the main character is a princess, but the main male character, Flynn Ryder, is also a very key role in the movie. Second, the film far exceeded expectations by not only living up to the $50 million that it was expected to earn, but adding almost $20 million onto that for a domestic haul of 69 million dollars in just five days.

However, even though Tangled did do great this week, it was still beaten out by Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1. Now, it is still a great accomplishment, especially by being only $9 million behind the top-grossing film series of all time. So anyways, here's how the rest of this week has gone down since Wednesday: (in millions)

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1: $78.8
2.
Tangled: $69
3.
Megamind: $17.6
4.
Burlesque: $17.2
5.
Unstoppable: $16.2
6.
Love and Other Drugs: $14
7.
Faster: $12.2

8. Due Date: $10.4
9. The Next Three Days: $6.6
10. Morning Glory: $5.5

Rating: 9 out of 10.

For everyone who thought that Disney's latest princess film, like last year's The Princess and The Frog, would flop, you were wrong. Current estimates rank the film at $11.8 million for yesterday alone. It is now estimated to surpass it's $40 million dollar weekend estimate, and actually make $50 million. It is also the highest-grossing opening day for a Thanksgiving weekend release, beating out 2002's Toy Story 2, which grossed $53 million. Sadly, it is not predicted to win the weekend in total haul, as the world's top-grossing wizard, Harry Potter, is expected to gross $90 million over the weekend in the series' latest installment, The Deathly Hallows.

Here's how the weekend is predicted to go down in the box-office:

1. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1: $80 million
2. Tangled: $50 million
3. Burlesque: $18 million
4. Megamind: $12.5 million
5. Love & Other Drugs: $15 million
6. Unstoppable: $11 million
7. Faster: $9.4 million

As of today, November 23, Miley Cyrus is officially 18! Over the years, Miley has gone from guest-starring on some of her father's shows, to having her own TV show on Disney Channel, to headlining several of her own to tours, to starring in several hit movies. Miley is planning on going to the beach with her family, and is hoping that that will bring her parents back together. Currently, Miley is filming a movie with Demi Moore titled "LOL: Laughing Out Loud", preparing to film a new movie titled "So Undercover", and her Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana Forever, is airing it's final episodes.

Miley is planning on going to the beach with her family, and is hoping that that will bring her parents back together. We hope it works, since they have already filed for divorce.

Also, happy birthday to former "High School Musical" star, Lucas Grabeel!

A few months ago, we told you about a direct-to-DVD sequel to 2004's "Mean Girls" starring Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried. Now, a brand-new trailer has been released for the new movie. The movie features tons of past and current Disney Channel stars. Like, Maiara Walsh (2007-2008's Cory in the House), Nicole Anderson (2009-2010's JONAS), Meaghen Jette Martin (2008 and 2010's Camp Rock series), and Jennifer Stone (2007 to present's Wizards of Waverly Place).

The movie looks hilarious! We'll be sure to watch it in February. What about you? Tell us in the comments!

Here's a picture of Miley Cyrus last night at ABC's 2010 American Music Awards! Miley turns 18 tomorrow, November 23, but she held a small party with her friends after the AMA's.

We like Miley's outfit, it's looks much more appropriate than her latest outfits. What do you think? Tell us in the comments!

Selena Gomez recently re-shot her music video for "A Year Without Rain" in Spanish, and here it is! We love how she re-shot almost every single scene, and sang it in Spanish as well.

What do you think of the video? We almost prefer this one to the original one, of course with the English lyrics, though.

Demi Lovato - Treatment center stint

On November 1, 2010, Demi Lovato
Ark Times Rock Andy Demi Lovato
's publicist announced that Demi Lovato had left the Jonas Brothers World Tour early during the preceding weekend, in order to enter a treatment center and "seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time". The publicist stated that although Demi Lovato had "decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help" and "regrets not being able to finish her tour", she plans to get "back to work in the near future." The following day, a Disney spokesperson told People that "we support Demi's decision to put her health first and we send her our best wishes".

Demi Lovato's publicist denied persistent media speculation that Lovato's treatment was for substance abuse, stating on November 10, 2010 that Lovato "is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction...As we have said since she entered treatment last week, Demi decided to seek help for emotional and physical issues she has battled throughout her life. She has taken this step in order to get her life in order."

The Disney Channel plans to revamp Sonny with a Chance around Demi Lovato's absence, temporarily restructuring it to focus on the show-within-a-show, "So Random!". The move will allow the show to resume filming in January 2011, even if Demi Lovato is unavailable.

"This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure," a Disney Channel spokeswoman said. "Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues.

You may have noticed that we did not post anything at seven on Tuesday, this was because... we didn't get any emails or Twitter messages. So we decided to just wait and see who the first person to send us an email or message would be.

And the winner is... Melissa Corkern! Melissa was our 5,121st visitor and she will have a choice of several prizes.

Thank you all for getting us to 5,000! Every month our numbers are going up!

Disney has just released a new poster for the upcoming Pixar film, "Cars 2", along with a summary! The poster you can see above, and here's the summary:

“When I was traveling around the world, doing publicity for Cars,” says the film’s director (and the studios’ chief creative officer) John Lasseter, 53, “I couldn’t help but laugh thinking of [tow truck] Mater lost in the maze of Tokyo streets, driving on the wrong side of the road in England or navigating the gigantic roundabouts in Paris.”

Sounds like fun! We can't wait to see the new movie next summer!

Sunday, November 14, 2010

At the time of this post, we are at our 5,005th visitor, meaning we've passed 5,000! So, who will it be? If you were the winner, you can check out the rules here. And congrats to whoever won!

Also, if we can't find the 5,000th winner in three days, we will give it to the next person who has proof that they were the closest person to 5,000th. (Above 5,000 only). For example if in three days we don't hear from the 5,000th person, if you took a picture of you being the 5,001st visitor, send it to us and you win!

Disney Channel has announced a a third season, and complete overhaul for their hit TV show, Sonny With A Chance, while Demi Lovato is in rehab, unable to shoot. Disney is now asking writers to focus on the show-within-a-show, 'So Random!' while Demi is recovering in her treatment center, since sketches will not require Demi. This will allow the show to resume shooting in January, as planned, even if Demi isn't available. A Disney rep said:
"This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure. Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues."
Sonny With A Chance has already filmed two full episodes of 'So Random!' as standalone specials, the first one doing well in ratings and the second will air on November 28.

Disney just announced a new singing series, Madison High, and now they're announcing a new one! A.N.T. Farm is about a girl named Chyna (played by China McClain) who has skipped several grades due to her amazing singing skills, and gets into mischief with the other A.N.T.'s! A.N.T. stands for Accelerated Natural Talent, a gifted program at the local high school.

The pilot has already been filmed, which means it may not be as long of a wait as it will be for Madison High. We can't wait! What about you? Tell us in the comments!

After the success of Fox's hit musical show, Glee, many channel's have started trying to copy the show's format... and ratings. Disney has had several shows about singing (eg. Hannah Montana Forever, JONAS L.A., etc), so it makes sense to make another. Unlike Glee, 'Madison' will feature original music. Also, unlike 'Hannah' and 'JONAS', 'Madison' will feature a more musical-type format, where the characters will randomly break out in dance.

It is unknown who will be starring in this show, but it is rumored that the main characters will consist mainly of Hollywood Records-signed teens.

The show sounds cool! Will you be watching it? Tell us in the comments!

Reports are currently flying around from several close sources that Demi has done cocaine and drinks a ton. The source also said that she was snorting cocaine heavily at a party last December with a rumored boyfriend, who later died in a water sport accident.

Now, we don't have any proof that this is true. We don't think it's true, and really hope it's not true, for Demi's safety. Plus, according to the source, Demi has been doing drugs and drinking for a long time. Why would they wait until now to say it? Attention.

Whether she's in g=big trouble or not, please be praying for the Lovato family.

Monday, November 8, 2010

With all of the Demi Lovato drama, we're starting to think that Disney will cancel it's popular TV show, "Sonny With A Chance", or Demi will quit. Disney has voiced concern about Demi's conditions, and it is quite possible for them to cancel her show for her health. Since we don't know the contract situation, we're not sure if she is legally obligated to film more episodes, even a third season. And, while it would be the right thing to do to cancel the show, Disney has often done whatever it takes to get more money out of something.

For example, Miley Cyrus really didn't want to do a fourth season of Hannah Montana, but Disney forced her to, since the show has made the Walt Disney Company over one billion dollars in revenue.

Do you think Disney will cancel 'Sonny'? And if they don't, should Demi quit? Tell us in the comments!

Shake It Up, the newest Disney Channel Original Series, premiered last night to huge numbers! The premiere had over 6.2 million viewers, the highest series premiere for the channel EVER! It followed a strong 7.1 million viewer lead-in from a one-hour Hannah Montana Forever, which is also the highest numbers for 'Hannah' in over three years.

We're so happy for the cast of Shake It Up, which is bound to be renewed for a second season! We also can't wait to see what kind of numbers the season four premiere of Wizards of Waverly Place gets next Friday, right after the new Disney Channel Original Movie, Avalon High.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Since 'Wizards' is nearing it's end, and the current opening credits were shot about four years ago, Disney has made a new opening sequence for their hit television series.

Even though the sound quality is poor, you can sneak a peak at some new footage of the cast from season four. Even though Gregg Sulkin was rumored to be added to the main cast, no one has been added or taken away from the credits.

We like it, but are going to miss the custom sequence that the cast specially actually shot, instead of just clips of them. What do you think? Tell us in the comments!
